Terms of Service

The service
Rearguard® is a technology platform that connects subscribers by live video call with real assistants who provide information, guidance and accompaniment in road and everyday incidents (police stops, accidents, traffic issues, emergencies), 24 hours a day.
Not legal advice
Rearguard does not provide legal services or legal advice and does not act as a law firm. Our operators are customer-service staff; they are not lawyers and do not replace professional legal counsel. Guidance provided is informational.
Emergencies
Rearguard is not an emergency service and does not replace police, ambulance or fire services. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number first.
Subscription and billing
The service works by subscription (monthly or annual), purchased inside the app and billed securely through Google Play in your local currency. There is no lock-in: you can cancel at any time from your Google Play subscriptions and keep access until the end of the paid period. Video calls are enabled 12 hours after the subscription is activated.
Family plan
The Family plan includes up to 3 accounts (the holder plus 2 members), each with its own access.
Fair use
The service is intended for real situations in which the subscriber needs assistance. Abusive, fraudulent or simulated use may result in suspension of the account.
Recordings
Assistance calls are recorded and stored securely as a record of the incident, as described in our Privacy Policy.
